Tattoo Removal Cream

Tattoos serve many different functions, as reminders for very significant things, as symbols for a belief, or as beautiful works of art on a human canvas. There are times, however, when people will want to remove their tattoos, and will find that laser tattoo removal can be very expensive. Many people then resort to using a tattoo removal cream to solve this problem.

However, are tattoo removal creams actually effective?

There are mixed reviews all over the internet, making it, short of actually trying out a number of creams, quite difficult to accurately find correct information. There are those who claim that removal creams are good and cheap alternatives to laser tattoo removal, and others claim that they do not completely remove the tattoo, and can actually harm the skin.

Tattoo removal creams are usually sold as “systems” that consist of more than one cream which need to be applied in certain steps, and a device used in conjunction with the creams in order to facilitate the removal of the tattoo.

They generally consist of an exfoliant gel or spray, which begins the fading process. This is followed by an abrasion formula that encourages the skin to peel, to allow the rest of the system to penetrate to the inked skin. Then the main cream is used, which contains ingredients that encourage the fading of the ink, as well as soothe the exfoliated skin.

Some systems also have concealers to help hide the tattoo as it is being slowly processed by the creams. And this is where the debate begins.

Many tattoo removal cream reviews claim that, because tattoos are designed to be very hard to fade and remove, simple creams will never truly do the job, and that most only hide the tattoo. Others claim that while creams can succeed in making the tattoo fade, they will not totally remove it, and it is this slow fading that makes people think that it is effective, making them buy more and more.

Their reason behind this is that tattoos are injected into a layer of the skin that is just above the layers where white blood cells will act on it, and just below the outer layer so that it’s protected and doesn’t easily fade from sunlight and skin exfoliation.

Supporters of creams, such as those who write testimonials on the products’ websites, and the makers of the creams, claim that today’s advancements in medical technology have made creams that are able to penetrate deep into the skin to reach the tattoo’s ink.

If you are interested in getting tattoo removal creams for your tattoo, be sure to do proper research and check with your doctor, to ensure that not only will the cream work, but that there won’t be any side-effects.
